At Massey University, we have undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in speech and language therapy.

Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy with Honours

Are you ready to become a speech-language therapist and create your impact! Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives? As a speech-language therapist you’ll work with children, young people and adults with a variety of communication and swallowing challenges to improve their ability to participate in school, work and other daily activities. You may work with children who have speech and/or language needs, or adults living with a traumatic brain injury or stroke. You’ll have an impact on people’s quality of life.

Postgraduate programmes in Speech and Language Therapy

Are you a qualified speech-language therapist (SLT) who wants to amplify your impact? Our Postgraduate programmes provide SLTs with the opportunity to:

  • develop specialty areas of expertise
  • remain competitive as future professional advances occur
  • become knowledgeable and skilled consumers of research and scholarship
  • develop greater understanding of cultural and linguistic diversity and the sociocultural context for individuals with speech language, and communication support needs
  • gain the necessary skills to engage in high-quality research or inquiry.

We take a unique approach to postgraduate study. We tailor content and assessments to your interests and practice context, and pair you with mentors who have relevant experience and research expertise. Your mentor will guide you through your study.
